    Signposts of careers for the future jobs &core competencies

    In the project "Signposts of Careers for the Future Jobs & Core Competencies" carried out in the years 2013-15 took part teachers and students from 6 countries: Poland, Lithuania, Italy, Cyprus, Turkey and Latvia. Poland prepared documents and materials and it monitored the tasks to be done since it was the coordinating country. The final product of the project is the E-career centre resources. All partners missed foreign language teaching related to professional counselling and good career guidance. The implementation of this type of interdisciplinary teaching allowed primarily to diagnose predispositions and interests of the students and perform various professions of the future in a changing global world. The project activities were a great way to motivate pupils at age 13-16 to learn English harder. The establishment of the E-career centres at schools and the project activities enriched the educational offers of the partner schools. One of the aims of the project was also to improve the national avererage results in the external exams in English, maths and science. On the counselling and English classes within the project the students were preparing the Youth Career Portfolio and Individual Career Planners. On the foreign languages classes the students were prepared linguistically. All the schools carried out three surveys among their students. The first survey aimed at discovering students' abilities and interests with regard to foreign languages and core competencies required by technical profession. The second survey entitled "My achievements" analysed the knowledge, personal life and skills of the students. The third one - "My Education" researched the opportunities for further education for each student.

  • How do we set e-Career Centre

    During our first meeting all partners we had in Poland we agreed as our first target goal to find/create an electronic platform (off course the country coordinator / Poland made the basic job for this in advance). All our materials, questionnaires, surveys, presentations, info related to school and countries, countries educational systems, students portfolio, photos, video conferences, etc are all mentioned on this platform as being attached. Everybody can login as a guest!
