FUN ON FOOT IN EUROPEAN CITIES AND VILLAGES

The Project consists on various activities, for example going for a walk in cities and villages with a high socio-cultural interest, aiming at creating awareness regarding the cultural richness found in one's own place and sharing the findings with the partners. Students will create different suggested itineraries according to age and level. They will learn about historical and cultural places, interesting museums, ancient buildings, noble cathedrals and mosques, and other places with historical, political or social value. They’ll do a preliminary analysis and research, and after that a walk through the city. The project takes the students through a 10-step plan: 1st. The symbols in my city. Public transports. 2nd. Water: fountains, rivers, lakes, ... 3rd. Parks and green spaces. 4th. Gastronomy. 5th. Traditional games. Festivals and festivities. 6th. Landmarks. 7th. Museums. Typical dresses. 8th. Music. Monuments and historical figures. 9th. History, geography and population. 10th.- Great exhibition. The students will organize the information in a blog which they’ve got to update into different educational levels. The school works will be able to observe the progress of the project in relation to the other schools of the partnership thanks to the blogs they will be created (virtual tours).

Links were used to guide the visitors to the partners' blogs. Most of the outcomes of the project were uploaded on the blog. In such a way, the project partners could immediately exchange information about the work of each other.
