Safer Europe by higher qualified water safety managers (EQF)

Due to the professionalisation of the Lifesaving sector there is a growing need for specialists and managing staff with higher levels of qualifications. The existing EQF for lifesaving is limited to level 1 to 4. The partnership project "Safer Europe by higher qualified water safety managers (EQF)" is dedicated to develop the missing higher levels of the lifesaving EQF. Therefore qualification experts from 16 European water safety organisations and 2 universities will cooperate. The new EQF levels should be recognized by the EU institutions after the end of the project. Beyond the results will be the base to develop further academic and professional courses of studies. The partners will exchange their experience on best practice training modules, that can be used for the professional and academic education. Helpful teaching and training concepts will be collected and disseminated in form of an EQF Toolkit.
