    European Student Magazine Exchange Project

The purpose of the e-mag project (www.e-mag.nu) was to create a web magazine where four schools in four countries shared the editorial responsibility and published articles, films, photos and other media related material. The project has been motivated by our ambition to let our students learn more about other cultures, in order to help them overcome cultural barriers and think of their future life in a larger European dimension. Moreover, the project aims at improving the students’ language skills and media proficiency. A very important part of the project was to make it possible for our students to travel and meet and exchange ideas with students their age from other countries. In November 2011, teachers from all the schools involved met in Karlstad, Sweden, to start up the project. In March 2012, students and teachers met up for the first time in Prague, Czech Republic. Please read the following article if you want to learn more about this trip: http://webnews.textalk.com/insight/arrival In October 2012, students and teachers from all the involved countries met up in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Please read the following article if you want to learn more about this trip: http://webnews.textalk.com/insight/my-week-in-jerez In March 2013, students and teachers from all countries met up in San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy. Throughout the course of the project we have uploaded more than 300 publications and from August 2011 – August 2013 we have had 91 649 unique visitors on www.e-mag.nu.
