TOLERANCE as a Key to Social Integration Into European Dimension for Young Citizens

The project had 2 sections: the 1st year -What and Why Tolerance is a Key?; the 2nd year: How To Be Tolerant in Modern Society? The problem of intolerant attitude towards persons of other religion, nation, culture, persons with special needs and Environment still remains actual among young people, sometimes it leads to vandalism. The opportunity to solve the problem is tightly connected with institutions of socialization, such as school. The project was aiming to create tolerant attitude among young people towards persons with special needs, people of other nations, cultures, and religions, Environment through various activities integrated into school Curriculum. We suppose, that Tolerant attitude is the necessary aspect of better European dimension. Students and teachers in all schools actively participated in all project activities (mobilities, Tolerance games, Plays on Tolerance, etc.). The first meeting was in November 2011 in Olaine secondary school where all participants (only teachers) met and shared their opinion concerning the project. We created Logo and Slogan, planned all activities for 2 years. Special areas of Tolerance were organized at each school where all news and information about project were placed. Project web-page was created by students from Olaine secondary school, all participants placed their material there. We visited all school during the project with our students. Polish school hosted all partners in spring 2012. It was great experience for all students to meet each other and to have the first dialogue face to face. Tight links were created during that visit. Students and teachers were eager to have next mobilities. We visited Portugal and Italy in autumn 2012. The first evaluation of the first project year took place in Portugal. All planned activities and results were achieved during the first year. We presented booklets and shared information on project issues. The last two meetings to Bulgaria and Romania took place in spring 2013.
