The project titled "If all the World's children connected hands..."planned by primary schools from Turkey, Spain, Greece, Poland, Latvia and primary/secondary school from Italy. The idea was conceived when educators from all schools communicated through Skype and e-mails and agreed on the need to help their pupils (aged 5-12) come in contact in order to share their different but common European identity and characteristics. The project itself was worked on and written during a preparatory visit which took place in Dobele Christian school in Latvia on the 17th to 21st January 2011. “If all the world's children connected hands...” is a project that will help approximately 1336 primary school pupils in 6 different European countries to share information about their countries and learned about each other’s way of living, recreation activities, educational systems, schools, towns, countries, statistics and cultures. Within the two years of the project our students explored the cycle of every child’s daily life. The project’s activities and outcomes are on CD/DVD with songs, lullabies, presentations about the schools, folk dances, games, handmade toys, a Calendar of 2013 "Our Celebrations", a book of paintings "My free time activities", and a cookery book both in each countries native language (also in English). The progress of the project was exchanged during subsequent visits through which pupils and teachers experienced each other’s everyday life, habits and culture. Pupils and teachers engaged themselves in a variety of activities relating to various subjects of their curriculum, used foreign languages, improved their ICT skills and felt responsible not only for their part of the project but also for the whole project.
Projektu "Ja visi zemes bērni rokās sadotos"...( ''If all the World's children connected hands..."
