Partnership based on the results of their experience will afford new challenges with the aim to find and raise the importance, attractiveness and value of innovative lace making. Institutions from 5 European countries will use common non-formal learning tools enhancing quality assurance, excellence of skills, competences for key sectors in order to enable peer learning activities. The project will upgrade the knowledge and competence of each partner that already has experience in study and reconstruction of traditional hand made laces affording the challenge of a modern and innovative application of hand made bobbin lace in the field of fashion accessories and jewellery. This attractive and contemporary vision of how techniques have evolved will attract a wider range of consumers and create new opportunities for persons at labour market, especially young people and women/men over 50. Institutions dealing with non-formal lace making education will cooperate with representatives from labour market and with local authorities to encourage the innovation in the field of lace making connecting new techniques and alternative materials such as gold, silver, copper threads to traditional materials.. The transfer of good practice of the use of lace in the past will create innovative ideas in lace designing from a new point of view not only traditional lace but even on creation of artistic creation for fashion accessories and jewellery. The state of the art will be defined at local and international conferences where partners will also share experiences on modern use of lace in fashion. Training, conferences and exhibitions will be the instrument the transfer good practice and achieve project results at the best quality level.
