The title of the project "Together in Our (He)art" reflects values amongst the partner institutions and the communities which we represent, thus promoting community cohesion across cultures. The arts will be used as a medium of expressing ourselves to each other. Through the project, the children will develop an understanding of common values, that overcome barriers, which our children face in their daily lives. The project will enable our children to participate in practical activities and develop critical thinking, where they can, freely and safely, express their thoughts and feelings . The Olympic and Paralympic values (respect, excellence, friendship, courage determination, inspiration and equality) will be central in project activities. The main theme of the Olympics in 2012 is 'Be inspired' and our project represents this by encourage the children to celebrate themselves, their schools and communities, while, at the same time recognizance our wider European and International communities. By using the arts as a medium, all children will be able to access the project. The main aims are:1) Express ourselves "Show our (he)art": Each school will present their culture through a creative expression of their choice 2) Experience values: "Look in our (he)art" Explore each others expressions, looking for similarities in values and keeping them close to our hearts. 3) Apply values "Use our (he)art": Apply our values by working together and learning from each other within a common or shared environment. We will use the values of the Olympic and Paralympic Movement to inspire the expression, through arts, that represents our unity at individual level i.e. our schools and share this message with our wider school communities within the Partner countries.

De titel van het project "Together in our (he)art" komt overeen met waarden tussen de partnerinstellingen en de Gemeenschappen die wij vertegenwoordigen, om de communautaire samenhang tussen culturen te bevorderen. De kunst zal worden gebruikt als een middel om onszelf uit te drukken en met elkaar verbonden te zijn. Door het project zullen de kinderen een begrip van gemeenschappelijke waarden ontwikkelen, die obstakels, waarmee onze kinderen in hun dagelijks leven worden geconfronteerd uit de weg ruimen. Het project zal onze kinderen in staat stellen om deel te nemen aan praktische activiteiten waar ze vrij en veilig hun gedachten en gevoelens kunnen uiten. De Olympische en Paralympische waarden (respect, excellentie, vriendschap, moed, vastberadenheid, inspiratie en gelijkheid) zullen centraal staan in de projectactiviteiten. Het belangrijkste thema van de Olympische spelen in 2012 is 'be inspired' en ons project vertegenwoordigt dit door bevordering van de creatieviteit van onze kinderen , hun school en gemeenschappen, maar ook onze bredere Europese en internationale gemeenschappen. Door het gebruik van de kunsten als een medium, zullen alle kinderen zitten kundig voor toegang tot het project toegang krijgen tot het project. De belangrijkste doelent zijn: 1) uitdrukken "Show our (he)art": elke school zal hun cultuur voorstellen door middel van een creatieve expressie naar keuze. 2) waarden ervaren : 'Look into our (he)art' elkaars expressies verkennen, op zoek naar overeenkomsten in waarden die ons dicht aan het hart liggen. 3) Toepassen van waarden 'Use our (he)art': onze waarden toepassen door samen te werken en van elkaar leren binnen een gemeenschappelijke of een gedeelde omgeving. Wij zullen de waarden van de Olympische en Paralympische beweging gebruiken om ons te laten inspireren de expressie, door middel van kunst, die onze eenheid op individueel niveau vertegenwoordigt d.w.z. onze scholen en dit bericht te delen met onze bredere schoolgemeenschap.

Il titolo del progetto "Together in our he(art)” è un invito a riflettere sui valori comuni tra i Paesi partner e le comunità che rappresentano promuovendo la coesione della comunità attraverso la conoscenza delle diverse culture. Le molteplici espressioni artistiche saranno utilizzate come mezzo di espressione reciproca. Attraverso il progetto, i bambini potranno sviluppare una comprensione dei valori comuni così da superare le barriere che i ragazzi incontrano nella loro vita quotidiana. Il progetto permetterà ai nostri alunni di partecipare alle attività pratiche così da sviluppare il pensiero critico ed esprimere liberamente e in sicurezza i loro pensieri e sentimenti. I valori Paraolimpici (rispetto, eccellenza, amicizia, determinazione, coraggio, ispirazione e uguaglianza) saranno centrali nelle attività del progetto. Il tema principale delle Olimpiadi del 2012 è 'Be inspired' e il nostro progetto incoraggerà i bambini a celebrare se stessi, le loro scuole e comunità. Utilizzando l'arte come un mezzo di espressione e di comunicazione, tutti i bambini saranno in grado di accedere al progetto. Gli obiettivi principali sono: 1) Esprimere se stessi "Show our (he)art": ogni scuola presenterà la propria cultura attraverso l'espressione creativa scelta da ognuno. 2) I valori di Esperienza: "Look in our (he)art" : gli alunni individueranno similitudini nei valori espressi da ognuno. 3) Applicare i valori "Use our (he)art": condivideranno i valori interiorizzati lavorando insieme e imparando gli uni dagli altri all'interno di un ambiente comune o “in comune”. Useremo i valori del Movimento Olimpico e Paraolimpico per esprimere, attraverso le arti, la nostra unità a livello individuale. Le nostre scuole condivideranno questi messaggi con le comunità scolastiche dei Paesi partner.
Projektimme nimi "Together in our (he)art" heijastaa instituutioissamme ja yhteisöissämme vallitsevia yhteisiä, valtakunnanrajoja ylittäviä arvoja. Projektissamme oppilaat käyttävät erilaisia taiteen keinoja itsensä ilmaisuun, sillä taiteet ovat hyvä yhteinen kieli, ja ne rohkaisevat oppilaita kriittiseen ajatteluun ja vapaaseen, turvalliseen itseilmaisuun. Keskeisinä teemoina projektissamme ovat Olympialaisten ja Paralympialaisten arvot: Kunnioitus, itsensä ylittäminen, ystävyys, rohkeus, päättäväisyys, inspiraatio ja tasa-arvo. 2012 Olympialaisten pääteema on "Inspiroidu", ja meidän projektimme kannustaa oppilaitamme arvostamaan omaa kulttuuriaan ja myös inspiroitumaan toisten kulttuureista. Oppilaat havainnoivat paitsi oman yhteisönsä erityispiirteitä, he myös samalla näkevät itsensä osana eurooppalaista ja kansainvälistä yhteisöä. Päätavoitteemme ovat: 1) Itseilmaisu ja esittäytyminen muille itse valitun taiteenlajin kautta: "Look into our (he)art" 2) Arvojen kokeminen ja yhteineväisyyksien tutkiminen: "Look into our (he)art" 3) Yhteisiksi havaittujen arvojen käyttäminen työskentelemällä yhdessä ja oppimalla toisiltamme yhteisessä tai jaetussa tilassa: "Use our (he)art"
¡Juntos en nuestro arte!
El título del proyecto "Juntos en nuestro arte" refleja los valores entre las instituciones asociadas y las comunidades que representamos, promoviendo así la cohesión de la comunidad a través de culturas. Las Artes se utilizarán como medio para expresarnos hacia los demás. A través del proyecto, los niños y niñas desarrollarán una comprensión de valores comunes, que les harán superar las barreras con las que nuestros hijos e hijas se enfrentan en su vida diaria. El proyecto les permitirá participar en actividades prácticas y desarrollar el pensamiento crítico, donde pueden, libremente y con seguridad, expresar sus pensamientos y sentimientos. Los valores de los Juegos Olímpicos y Paralímpicos (respeto, excelencia, amistad, determinación de coraje, inspiración e igualdad) serán fundamentales en las actividades del proyecto. El tema principal de los Juegos Olímpicos en 2012 inspira nuestro proyecto y es el que los anima a celebrarlo ellos mismos en sus escuelas y comunidades, logrando, de este modo, que las relaciones entre nuestras comunidades sean mucho más amplias. A base de usar el arte como un medio de expresión, todos los niños y niñas podrán acceder al proyecto. Las metas principales son: 1) expresar o mostrar nosotros mismos nuestro arte: cada escuela presentará su cultura a través de una expresión creativa de su elección 2) valores de experiencia: buscar en nuestro arte y explorar otras expresiones, buscando similitudes en los valores y mantenerlos cerca a nuestros corazones. 3) Aplicar valores. Usar nuestro arte y aplicar nuestros valores a base de trabajar juntos y aprender unos de otros dentro de un entorno comunes o compartido. Utilizaremos los valores de los Juegos Olímpicos y el movimiento Paralímpico para, a través del arte, expresar al resto de nuestros colegios asociados nuestra idiosincracia y compartirla con el resto.

Twinspace: Together in our (he)art
Together in our (he)art is a comeniusproject that started in 2011. During two years we used art to communicate between pupils in Belgium, Italy, Spain, Finland and UK. The British school is in Stratford where we took the chance to work about the London2012 olympics with all children of our schools. The last part of the project is 'Use our (he)art'. Together in our (he)art è un progetto cominciato nel 2011. Durante i due anni abbiamo usato l'arte per promuovere la comunicazione tra i bambini del Belgio, Italia, Spagna, Finlandia e UK. La scuola inglese situata a Stratford, dove hanno avuto luogo le Olimpiadi del 2011, ha ispirato il nostro lavoro. Belgian meeting
During our first Comeniusmeeting in Belgium we presented our school/region/country using art as a common way to communicate. The pupils made the artwork and during the meeting their teachers presented it to the Belgian children. All work was also published on our twinspace. Each country chose an aspect of art typically to their country. Examples are dances from Spain, architecture (monuments) from Italy, boardgames and puzzles from Belgium and legends from Finland.Belgian meeting
Tijdens onze eerste meeting in België stelde iedere partnerschool zichzelf, de school, de streek of het land voor aan de hand van een kunstwerk hetwelke gebruikt werd als dezelfde manier om te communiceren met alle partnerlanden. De kinderen waren de ontwerpers en hun leerkrachten stelden de kunstwerken voor aan de Belgische kinderen. Alle werkjes werden tevens gepubliceerd op onze twinspace. Each school produced another piece of art departing from works of others. Year 5 children at Carpenters created their own nursery rhymes movies as a response of the Finnish work on their own legend. Year 2 responded to the Italian mixed media work on landmarks by painting landmarks of their area. Works were shared in Italy during the comenius meeting.Look in our (he)art.

The Finnish Dance
While in Italy participant were sharing dances. At that moment it pop out the idea of all participant schools share a moment in time dancing. All pupils, from all schools, were to meet and dance at the same time the same steps at the rhythm of Letkiss. Performances were shared afterwards through the use of the MLE. Sequence of steps:Right foot kicks to the right (2), left foot kicks to the left (2), 1 step backwards & 3 steps forwards.The Finnish Dance

Use our (he)art
"Use our (he)art": Apply our values by working together and learning from each other within a common and shared environment. Each country produced and individual flag on one of the values. Then, all individual parts were joined together at the Carpenters primary school at the heart of the Olympic site. Show our (he)art
"Show our (he)art" was the starting point of our project. Each school presented their culture through a creative expression of their choice. At Carpenters Primary School pupils from Year 1, 4 and 6 introduced themselves by using different media. Year 1 used painting as way of expression. After the Partner Schools meeting in Spain (SEVILLA), pupils from Year 5 produced some line drawings on famous Spanish landmarks. PPT is about our school, town and region and describes the work that the students have achieved. The pupils presented and described in the English language the monuments made. We’ve applied the laboratorial methodology workshop and cooperative learning among students from different classes, who have carried out research, collecting data and information. La presentazione fa conoscere la nostra scuola, città e regione e illustra i lavori che gli alunni hanno realizzato. Gli alunni hanno presentato e descritto in lingua inglese i monumenti realizzati. Play: The Kalevala
The presentation of main events of the National Epic of Finland, The Kalevala: A play of ca. 1 hour of duration. It was shown to our Comenius guests, pupils and parents in Tesomajärvi School February 6th 2013. (A video compilation of it can be watched in TwinSpace of our project - limited access.
