Nowadays, students get lots of information about the global warming and other environmental problems. Our four schools share a common concern on the importance of the conservation of the environment. In the past we have been working locally on projects related to consume and recycling for some time but now we want to join forces to tackle, in a European context, the problems caused by irresponsible consume patterns and work out possible solutions and new sustainable behaviour patterns. Through the communication among our centres, our teaching processes will become more open to the whole European situation, not be reduced just to the conditions in our centres. To achieve this, we want to focus on developing aspects which can be integrated in all areas of knowledge so that they can be treated in all of them. Among other aspects, we want to study the use of free time, the use and consumption of natural resources and energy, the influence of advertising on consumption, the production and treatment of waste and to propose alternative and creative solutions.

  • Common survey on the consumption of time, allowance and the environment

The students have prepared a survey with questions about all the aspects of consumption they could think of and consider relevant. Then, the questions have been translated into their national languages and students, parents, grandparents and teachers have completed the survey. After that, the students, together with their teachers have drawn some "national conclusions" and finally the teachers from the three schools have put all the information in common and drawn some "common conclusions".
