'Career transitions in times of economic crisis'

Today's economic crisis places the issue of dealing with career change and transition at the very heart of enterprises' reflection regarding prospective management of competence. The facilitation of job transitions requires better coherence between employment and occupational training development policies as well as a better coordination between actors of the training environment and the expend of their funding. This coordination should be a means to improve the support of job transition in the situations requiring common intervention to develop prevention. In order to have a better support of employees and employers of very small enterprises and SMES in the preparation of job transitions, this project aims to analyse the various tools and practises regarding the support used in five European regions as regards: - Communications of tools available towards employees - Use of funding - Support practices This Leonardo learning partnership project should enable agencies and stakeholders addressing occupational training to exchange on best practices and the various ways to tackle the problem particularly in the current economical crisis background, in view of preparing a wider and more ambitious project further on.
