EuBiA - Broadning people´s minds in ageing

Vor dem Hintergrund des demographischen Wandels in Europa und im Bewusstsein der Bedeutung des Lernens für ältere Menschen, entstand EuBiA, eine Grundtvig Lernpartnerschaft. Neun Organisationen aus sieben Ländern (AT, CZ, DE, IT, PL, SK, UK) waren am Projekt beteiligt und diskutierten wichtige Fragen zum Thema „Lernen im Alter“ und tauschten ihre Erfahrungen in diesem Bereich aus. Ein Hauptziel von EuBiA war ein europäisches Netzwerk aufzubauen und wesentliche Themen im Zusammenhang mit Netzwerkarbeit und Lernen im Alter zu bearbeiten. Es wurden nicht nur theoretisch über Netzwerken diskutiert, sondern auch praktisch "genetztwerkt". So konnten das EuBiA Netzwerk um 18 neue Partner von verschiedenen europäischen Ländern erweitert werden. In fünf transnationalen Projekttreffen konnten die PartnerInnen ihr Know-how, ihr Wissen und ihre praktischen Erfahrungen austauschen und hatten die Gelegenheit Organisationen in anderen Kulturen und Settings, deren Arbeit und deren Zugang zum Thema Lernen im Alter kennenzulernen. Zentrale Begriffe im Zusammenhang mit „lebensbegleitendem Lernen“ und insbesondere mit „Lernen im Alter“ sind Empowerment, Advocacy und Partizipation. Diese Begriffe wurden vom EuBiA Team ausführlich diskutiert. Besonderes Augenmerk galt den Hürden und Barrieren des Zugangs zu Bildungsangeboten für ältere Menschen. Hier wurden Möglichkeiten diskutiert, um das Lernen in alternden Gesellschaften voranzubringen. Das EuBiA Team entwickelte auch Kriterien für „good practice“ für Projekte für lebensbegleitendes Lernen im Alter. Jede der Partnerorganisationen stellte ein "good practice" - Beispiel vor, welches an den Kriterien gemessen wurde. Das Hauptergebnis des EuBiA Projektes ist die Broschüre "Ältere Menschen und Lernen, der EuBiA Wegweiser.

The EuBiA project aimed to respond to the educational challenges of an ageing population in Europe. In the context of this demographic change and in view of the importance of learning in later life nine organisations from seven countries, including older learners, discussed important issues and shared their experiences in the field of learning in later life. One of EuBiA´s main aims was to establish a European network and to discuss relevant topics concerning networking and learning in later life. The focus on networking was discussing theories but also practising networking. In this way the EuBiA partners were able to enlarge the EuBiA network by involving 18 new partners from other countries. During 5 transnational project meetings the partners exchanged know-how, experiences and practical informations in the field and had the opportunity to get to know organisations and their work and approach to later life learning in different European countries. Keywords in the context of lifelong learning and for learning in later life are empowerment, advocacy and participation. These were broadly discussed alongside barriers and obstacles to participation and the means by which the obstacles could be overcome so as to benefit learning in ageing societies. Beside topics like intergenerational learning, older learners and gender, disability and ethnicity were discussed. The team developed the EuBiA criteria for good practice and each partner organisation presented an example of a good practice project. The outcome of the EuBiA project is the “EuBiA Guide – Getting older people involved in learning”.

Specifické cíle projektu EuBiA reagují na nutnost vzdělávání stárnoucí evropské populace a snaží se pomoci starším dospělým nalézt cestu ke zlepšení jejich znalostí a kompetencí, přičemž berou ohled na to, že pod definici „starší lidé“ spadají nejméně tři věkové skupiny osob. Mezinárodní partnerství organizací ustaví konsorcium pro vzdělávání ve vyšším věku, jehož hlavními cíli budou: výměna know-how, zlepšení dosavadních dovedností a strategií, přejímání a uzpůsobování příkladů dobré praxe. Hledání řešení problému udržitelnosti práce organizací a partnerství pomůže zvýšit kvalitu vzdělávacích programů pro seniory. Výměna zkušeností ze zapojených regionů zviditelní výhody spolupráce organizací, zabývajících se vzděláváním dospělých. Zároveň se projekt EuBia zaměří na posílení a zvýšení účasti seniorů nejen ve vzdělávání, ale také při jeho přípravě. Projekt bude rovněž napomáhat vývoji inovativních praktik ve vzdělávání dospělých a jejich přenosu do organizací, regionů a zemí, které nebyly zapojeny do partnerství. Partnerství vyvine společnou profesní terminologii, týkající se vzdělávání seniorů a bude podporovat svou práci využíváním internetové platformy. Partnerství vyvine ukazatele, které budou naznačovat cestu k úspěšné práci se staršími účastníky vzdělávání.

Die Lernpartnerschaft EUBIA reagierte auf die Bildungsherausforderung, die sich aus dem demografischen Wandel europäischer Gesellschaften ergibt. Ziel war und ist es, dazubeizutragen, Wege aufzuzeigen, wie ältere Menschen ihr Wissen und ihre Kompetenzen erweitern können. Die transnationale Partnerschaft, bestehend aus neun Organisationen aus sieben Ländern (AT, CZ, DE, IT, PL, SK, UK) und älteren Lernenden, bildeten ein Konsortium für lebensbegleitendes Lernen im Alter mit den Zielen: Know-how auszutauschen, vorhandene Kenntnisse und Vorgehensweisen auszubauen, Beispiele "guter Praxis" zu finden sowie ein transnationales Netzwerk aufzubauen. Das entstandene Netzwerk konnte um 18 neue Partner aus verschiedenen europäischen Ländern erweitert werden. Der EuBia-Wegweiser enthält die von der Gruppe diskutierten Kriterien für ein "gutes" Projekt im Bereich "Lernen im Alter" sowie einige an diesen Kriterien gemessene Praxisbeispiele aus den Partnerländern. Außerdem sind im Wegweiser die Ergebnisse der Diskussionen zu den Vorteilen von Netzwerkarbeit, aber auch den möglichen Vorteilen, ohne Netzwerkeinbindung zu arbeiten, zusammengefasst. Zentrale Begriffe im Zusammenhang mit lebensbegleitendem Lernen und insbesondere mit "Lernen im Alter" sind Empowerment, Advocacy (Eintreten für Rechte) und Partizipation. Diese Begriffe wurden vom Team ausführlich diskutiert. Dabei wurden auch die vielfältigen Hürden der Teilnahme Älterer an Bildung berücksichtigt. Das Hauptergebnis des EUBIA-Projektes ist der EUBIA-Wegweiser "Ältere Menschen und Lernen", in dem die wesentlichen Ergebnisse des Projektes zusammengetragen sind.

The specific objectives of EuBiA respond to the educational challenge of an ageing population in Europe and will help to provide older adults with pathways to improving their knowledge and competences in the light of the fact that at least three age cohorts of older people can be identified. The trans-national partnership of organisations and older people will cooperate to establishing a consortium for life long learning in senior age the aims of which are: to exchange know-how, strengthen existing skills and strategies, adopting and adapting best-practice. Finding solutions to the problem of organisational and partnership sustainability will help to improve the quality of learning programs for the older people. Exchanging experiences of the various learning regions involved will make advantages and disadvantages of cooperation between organisations of adult organisations visible. By the same time EuBiA will focus on the empowerment and participation of older learners. The project will also assist the development of innovative practices in adult education and their transfer to agencies, regions and countries not included in the original partnership. The partnership will develop a common professional terminology related to the education of older adults and support its work through using an internet platform. A sign-post will give directions for a successful coping with older learners.

Gli obiettivi specifici del progetto Eubia rispondono alla sfida educativa europea rivolta agli adulti e adultiche intende supportare gli over 50 nel miglioramento delle conoscenze e competenze. La partnership trans-nazionale tra organizzazioni del settore dell'educazione per gli adulti cooperano per la realizzazione di un consorzio, i cui obiettivi saranno: lo scambio di informazioni; perfezionamento delle strategie esistenti, adozione di buone prassi. L'individuazione di soluzioni per la sostenibilità dell'educazione degli adulti aiuterà a migliorare la qualità dei programmi educativi. Lo scambio di esperienze tra i partner coinvolti favà incentiverà la cooperazione. Alcontempo Eubia punta sulla partecipazione dei discenti adulti. Il progetto supporto, inoltre, lo sviluppo di pratiche innovative nell'apprendimento permanente ed il loro trasferimento in agenzie, Regioni e Paesi al di fuori del partenariato stesso. Il gruppo partecipante individuerà una terminologia professionale correlata all'apprendimento permanente e diffonderà il lavoro svolto attraverso una piattaforma online.

UE Rozszerzenie możliwości umysłowych osób starszych

Projekt EuBiA jest odpowiedzią na wyzwania edukacyjne starzejącej się populacji w Europie. W kontekście zmian demograficznych oraz z punktu widzenia znaczenia uczenia się w późniejszym wieku partnerzy reprezentujący dziewięć organizacji z siedmiu krajów, w tym osoby starsze uczące się, dyskutowali ważne kwestie i dzielili się swoimi doświadczeniami w dziedzinie uczenia się seniorów. Jednym z głównych celów projektu EuBiA było stworzenie europejskiej sieci instytucji zajmujących się zagadnieniami dotyczącymi kształcenia seniorów. Podczas 5 międzynarodowych spotkań partnerzy projektu wymieniali know-how i doświadczenia praktyczne, mieli możliwość poznania innych organizacji partnerskich oraz ich podejście do kształcenia osób starszych. Dzięki integracji teorii z praktyką udało nam się zwiększyć sieć EuBiA o 18 nowych partnerów z innych krajów. Słowa kluczowe w kontekście kształcenia przez całe życie i uczenia się w późniejszym wieku to: upoważnienie, wsparcie i uczestnictwo. Tematy te były szeroko dyskutowane w kontekście barier i przeszkód oraz środków, dzięki którym można by pokonać trudności oraz czerpać korzyści z uczenia się osób starszych. Ponadto dyskutowaliśmy na temat międzypokoleniowego uczenia się, relacji płci, niepełnosprawności i pochodzenia etnicznego. Zespół opracował kryteria dobrej praktyki projektów edukacyjnych, każda organizacja partnerska przedstawiła jeden przykład praktyczny. Wynikiem projektu EuBiA jest "Przewodnik EuBiA - Włączanie osób starszych w procesy uczenia się".

Špecifické ciele EuBiA zodpovedajú problémom v rámci vzdelávania starnúcej populácie v Európe a pomôžu zabezpečiť starším dospelým cesty k zlepšovaniu ich poznatkov a kompetencií vo svetle skutočnosti, že je možné určiť aspoň tri vekové skupiny starších ľudí. Medzinárodné partnerstvo organizácií a starších ľudí bude spolupracovať na založení konzorcia pre celoživotné vzdelávanie v seniorskom veku, ktorého ciele sú nasledovné: vymieňať si know-how, posilniť existujúce schopnosti a stratégie, osvojiť si a upraviť osvedčené postupy. Hľadanie riešení k problému organizačnej udržateľnosti a udržateľnosti partnerstva dopomôže k zlepšeniu kvality vzdelávacích programov pre starších ľudí. Výmena skúseností medzi rôznymi zapojenými vzdelávacími regiónmi zviditeľní výhody i nevýhody spolupráce medzi organizáciami.
