Starting from a careful consideration of civil rights as fundamental principles of the civil society characterized by mutual respect and non violence, the project GYEC focused on the analysis and the discussion of some aspects as integration, equality. The project also worked on knowledge of the common European roots, of each country region/ environment, aiming to find keys to empower intercultural dialogue to reduce social and cultural barriers to foster respect towards “ the new, different, unknown” and to enhance an active European citizenship to develop civic and social competences which foster/encourage inclusion, democracy, participation of the future European citizens to the governance of their own countries. Pupils studied the Constitution of each partner countries and the Charts of Fundamental Rights of the European Citizens and the Declaration of Human Rights. Thanks to the mobilities, exchanges between the institutions the students developed practices of active citizenship, they acquired organizing and planning abilities as plurilinguistic and digital competences.
