This project aimed to improve the partner schools' understanding of the migration patterns across Europe by exploring the historical context in which these migrant communities emerged. The project endeavoured to develop an awareness of a common European identity. Its main aim was to challenge pupils and teachers' awareness of their own cultures and heritage and how they were inextricably linked with other cultures in Europe. This was done by producing a travel album which documented the European origins of the pupils involved. With the aid of creative use of ICT, the project also researched the integration of certain migrant communities over time. The project activities provided plenty of scope for language learning and this was done by means of producing audio-linguistic glossaries produced by the pupils in each partner school and used during mobility to these countries.
